Hyperfine Promotes Tom Teisseyre, Ph.D. to COO

Dr. Teisseyre was Hyperfine’s chief product officer since June 2021.

Hyperfine, creator of the Swoop portable magnetic resonance brain imaging system, has promoted Tom Teisseyre, Ph.D. to chief operating officer (COO) of the company. Dr. Teisseyre will oversee product design and development, clinical science, operations, cybersecurity, and technical service.
 
Dr. Teisseyre was Hyperfine’s chief product officer since June 2021 and holds extensive previous experience in medical devices and imaging. Prior to Hyperfine, he was head of surgical and implantable devices of Verily Life Sciences. He also served in program and product positions at Google, Abbott Medical Optics, Proximie, and OptiMedica.
 
Dr. Teisseyre also hold patents and has publications on medical imaging, medical image processing, intraoperative imaging, surgical tech, and surgical workflow optimization.
 
The company also revealed Khan Siddiquit, MD will transition from full-time to part-time as chief medical officer and chief strategy officer, for personal reasons. Dr. Siddiqui will stay a strategic contributor and active ambassador for the company.

We look forward to the many achievements his future leadership will bring,” Maria Sainz, president and CEO of Hyperfine told the press.
